The only building you can see from kirkhill mansion and it's estate is the former gardener's lodgings. Kirkhill is truly a country retreat. With over 3000 established trees in the estate, the North esk river running around half of the boundry - almost guaranteed seasonal sightings of deer, bats, trout, rabbits, water voles, wood peckers and numerous song birds - you can truly get away from it all - our next nearest neighbour is a 10 minute walk away at the end of the drive.

The reason David Mackman bought the house in 2004 was the view over the valley under the ancient scots pine which was reportedly planted at the time of the original construction by the dundas' of arniston. you can choose between a short walk of 10 minutes down to the river or much lengthier walks to the edge of the estate and over into gore glen country park which Borders onto Kirkhill mansions land.

Perfect for spa relaxation therapies, country walks and for outdoor camping and glamping - the site next to the acre duck pond is treasured by many; with 2010 being a great year for ducks possibly due to the harsh long winter killing off predators.
